Steps to Save Your Instagram Data
Launch the Instagram app on your smartphone or tablet.
Navigate to your profile page by tapping your profile picture in the bottom-right corner.Tap the three horizontal lines (hamburger icon) in the top-right corner of your profile page.From the pop-up menu, choose the “Your Activity” option.
- Choose ‘Download Your Information’
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Download Your Information.”On the next screen, choose “Download or transfer information” and select “Some of your information.” Check the boxes for the types of data you wish to save, such as “Messages,” “Content,” or other options, and then tap “Next.”Decide where you want to save the data. You can download it directly to your device or transfer it to cloud storage services.
- Set Preferences and Create Files
Specify the date range, enter your email address, and select the desired format and media quality. Finally, tap on “Create files” to start the process.
Once your data is ready, you’ll be notified. If you’ve chosen the “Download to device” option, you can access the file directly from your device. If you opted for cloud storage, you will receive an email notification with further instructions.
Downloading All Data
If you prefer to save everything, select “All available information” in step five. This ensures that all your activities and information are preserved in one go. You can then choose whether to save the data on your device or store it in the cloud.
By following these steps, you can secure your valuable Instagram data, ensuring that your memories remain intact even if you decide to step away from the platform temporarily or permanently.
