iPhone SE Design and Camera
Leaks and reports suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will abandon the iconic home button in favor of a design similar to the iPhone 14, complete with a notch at the top of the display for Face ID functionality. This change will bring the iPhone SE in line with Apple’s current design language, giving it a more modern and streamlined look.
That being said this design happens to be a recycle considering the latest iPhone 16 series sports the dynamic island.
The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to feature a USB-C port, in line with the rest of the line-up.
On the hardware front, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to boast a 48MP main camera, a substantial upgrade over the 12MP sensor found in the current model. This could lead to significant improvements in image quality and low-light performance. The front camera is also set to receive an upgrade, with a 12MP sensor replacing the 7MP one in the iPhone SE 3.
Other potential enhancements for the iPhone SE 4 include a larger battery, a faster processor, and support for 5G connectivity. However, since these details are based on leaks, it’s important to remember that the final product may vary.
A18 Bionic Chip & Apple Intelligence
This may very well be the game changer here. If we follow the leads the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by A18 Bionic chip. Apple silicones have historically been far ahead of it’s competitors, efficiently running the device without major hardware load. A18 SoC will be a welcome change for the same. A18 chip will also enable Apple Intelligence features here. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone SE 4 in early 2025, so more concrete information should become available in the months ahead. Stay tuned for updates as we approach the launch date.
