Google and Kaggle launch five-day intensive Generative AI course

Date:

Because the field of AI is moving so fast, it’s more important than ever that developers, enthusiasts and learners around the world can build their skills by learning directly from the leading experts.

That is why Google and Kaggle created our free, five-day Gen AI Intensive live course. The content was thoughtfully designed to give participants a strong understanding of generative AI, from the basics of large language models (LLMs) to actually using gen AI with tools in production.

The live course was carefully architected to deliver a balanced mix of theory, hands-on learning and community engagement. Each day, participants received assignments that included AI-generated podcasts (created using NotebookLM), informative whitepapers (written by experts across Google) and practical code labs for hands-on experience with Gemini and other services. They explored a broad swath of topics:

Participants also checked out a Discord chat which was moderated and actively supported by Googlers, and livestream sessions with expert guests from Google to answer the community’s questions. These sessions were a chance to delve deeper into thematic topics and interact with the course creators. There were hands-on code labs on Kaggle where participants could experiment with different gen AI techniques and tools, like the Gemini API, Embeddings, open source tools like Langraph as well as Vertex AI.

More than 140,000 people registered for the course within just 20 days, making it one of the largest developer events ever held. If you missed the live course, some of the most popular gen AI Intensive content has been adapted into a self-paced format and is available as a Kaggle Learn Guide. And if you want to learn more about future live courses, fill out our outreach form.
