Apple unveils Watch Series 10 with bigger screen, thinner display. Key features here

Date:

The Apple Watch Series 10 made its grand debut at Monday’s “It’s Glowtime” event, marking nearly a decade since the launch of Apple’s first smartwatch. The headline feature of this new wearable is a significant redesign—the most substantial since the original model. “With our biggest screen and thinnest design yet,” CEO Tim Cook said, the Apple Watch Series 10 sets a new standard for the brand’s wearable technology.

The display is “up to 30%” larger than previous models and protected by durable onyx glass. The body is also sleeker, coming in at 9.6mm, making it 10% thinner than its predecessor, the Series 9.

One of the standout features is the ability to play music and podcasts directly through the Apple Watch for the first time, enhancing its usability without needing a phone. The Series 10 also offers 50% water resistance, making it more durable for water activities.

In terms of power, it boasts the fastest charging ever seen in an Apple Watch, reaching 80% battery in just 30 minutes. The Series 10 will be available in three stunning colors: natural, black, and gold.

Apple has also focused on improving call quality by introducing advanced noise suppression to enhance phone conversations. New updates include a translation app to instantly translate speech, health transition features, and more innovations, with further developments still to come. This new watch series will feature sleep apnea detection, marking a first for the Apple Watch lineup.

The price of Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 with pre-order opening today and shipping from September 28.
