Apple’s TV app will now be available on the Google Play Store of Android phones and tablets, a blog posted by Google has announced. Google TV users will now be able to subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass via their Google TV device.

This will make the Apple TV app accessible via all major platforms including Android devices, XBox, PlayStation and tv sets powered by Android TV OS, Tizen OS, webOS and Fire OS-powered smart TVs besides iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS devices.

The app’s Android version is expected to have the same features as on iOS like the resume play option, downloading and streaming content through cellular data and Wi-Fi data.

Users must have the Apple TV+ subscription to watch original Apple content and the additional MLS Season Pass gives them access to livestreaming Major League Soccer’s 2025 season.
