Apple is adding a Google Street View-like feature called “Look Around” to Apple Maps’ web version. The update was already available on iPhones since iOS 13 and gives users a 360-degree immersive view.

‘Look Around’ will be rolled out to several countries globally including the U.S., Canada, Australia, the UK, portions of the European Union. Users will be able to avail the feature when using Safari, Google Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

Users need to click on the binoculars icon on the bottom left corner and can then zoom in and navigate through the routes virtually from a first-person perspective and explore places.

Earlier this year, Apple had launched Apple Maps on the web as a part of a public beta with some limited features like directions and curated guides. But there are plans to integrate other updates including transit maps that will give real-time information on buses, trains and other modes of transport, a feature that Google Maps already has. They will also be introducing more languages to make the platform accessible to a wider audience globally.
