Users can now write prompts according to the input from the tool. The tool is now available for English-speaking users.
The new AI feature encourages you to craft more thoughtful and detailed responses, steering you away from generic or uninspired answers. It offers varying levels of feedback based on your input, suggesting subtle improvements or more significant revisions. Rather than completely rewriting your responses, the AI helps by offering new ideas, pointing out areas to elaborate on, or guiding you away from clichés.
The aim is for the AI to motivate you to explore deeper insights and foster more engaging conversations with your matches.
While you’re not required to act on the feedback Hinge provides, you also won’t be able to disable the feature. Hinge has confirmed that OpenAI’s ChatGPT 4.0 mini model powers the feature.
The company incorporates its research and data to help guide the AI model’s responses.
This new feature represents Hinge’s first foray into AI-powered coaching, an area online dating apps have increasingly explored in the past year. While most AI innovation in this space has focused on improving security, Hinge’s feedback prompts and Tinder’s photo selector tool signal a shift toward integrating AI in ways that go beyond just matching algorithms.
